Benjamin Franklin letter signed ''Benj.a Franklin'', dated 10th Oct, 1785, written to the Loudoun County Court concerning a petition to the view the ground in Blue Ridge from the top of the ridge to the Gap Mill on the property belonging to M.[John] Hough, framed with a group of (4) engravings depicting Benjamin Franklin, with inscription at the bottom of the matting ''To Benjamin Franklin Roeder, Esq., with the affectionate regard of the class of '84 C.C.N.Y., April 23d, 1925'', also accompanied by a 1982 letter from The Court Place Antiquarian Book Shop & Gallery containing authentication and estimation. Letter 4-1/2''h, 7-1/4''w. Possibly trimmed, expected creasing, wear, and toning, two small tears to edges, thin paper strips glued to edges at top verso and bottom recto.
